When creating service invoices it would be really good to have 2 sorts of invoice line.
A Description memo line where there is no quantity. This would have a wysiwyg editor to allow changes in font colour, bold , underline and bullet points. This would not automatically have a qty and extention.
Standard Service lines where there are quantity and extention

Yes oh yes. !!! Been asking for this for years. The report writer has not changed since 2008 to say the interface is bad and the functiionality poor is an understatement.
I would love to have option for wysiwyg editor, font size/colour changes, bold , bullet and underline.
This would allow for details in Service invoices to look much better. Ive been asking for this for the last 10 years. Sage do not seem to realise that there are a large number of people who use service invoices, and need to detail service provided then have a list of the items supplied.
Heck even if we only got an editor like the one on the site here it would be an improvement
Quick and dirty workaround
To suppress extensions and create a line invoice with no extension. I have set the invoice print to suppress printing of net, vat % and Vat amount where the service line quantity is 0. Hence when I want just text with no extensions I set the line qty to 0.
The layout has been amended by removing the qty from the 4 Details Section. For the foreign/vat/vat percentage set a condition that if the Invoice_item.quantity=0 suppress printing
