Bank Feeds Rules - Add Ability to Allocate Transactions when rule set to “Review transactions before posting”

Idea relates to Sage 50 Accounts v30.0.171.0

When the ‘Auto Posting’ setting is set as “Review transactions before posting” then where the transaction type is a Customer or Supplier then this should provide the ability to open the transaction and allocate to an invoice at the point of posting.

I would envisage that the [Rule Approvals] tile that currently shows [Approve] (posts as a payment on account) and[Reject] options should have a further [Allocate] option added for transactions that relate to Customer or Supplier ledgers.

On selecting the ‘Allocate’ option the Customer or Supplier ledger window (receipt or payment as appropriate) should appear and be prepopulated with the Ledger, Date, Ref, Ex.Ref, and Amount fields identified in the corresponding rule, none of which should be editable. This will in turn make available the list of invoices/credits against which the transaction value can be allocated.

Any user payment allocations are not to exceed the value identified from the imported bank feeds transaction.

If in the event that the payment is not allocated either as a whole or in part then a payment on account value for any unallocated amount is to be posted on [Save].

When the user has finished allocating the transaction and clicks [Save], the payment will then be posted and removed from the [Rule Approvals] screen and moved to the [Confirmed] screen.

On [Save] if there are more [Rule Approvals] transactions to process then the user is to be returned to the [Rule Approvals] screen, or:

if there are no [Rule Approvals] bank feed transactions then return the user to the [Auto-Matched] screen;

if there are no [Auto-Matched] bank feed transactions then return the user to the [To Be Matched] screen;

if there are no [To Be Matched] bank feed transactions then return the user to the [Confirmed] screen;

If a user clicks [Close] then any payment allocations are discarded and the user is returned to the [Rule Approvals] window and the transaction remains available to process as applicable.
