Was wondering what the possibilities are with building a bundle price to sell a multiple of items that are all services? I don't want to maintain products/stock (not even setting it to a million and let it roll down) as it just makes it messy and more to manage and these are ALL services and nothing we can 'stock'. This is so we can sell a range of services in a single invoice line item, but maintain nominal codes for the various items we buy from multiple sources.
Seems even more simple than BoM for full products, but not seeing how to achieve it.
There isn't the ability.
This is basically the same idea as Bundle Pricing - see my comment there regarding the use of Kit Codes that were part of the stock control system I used back in the early 1990s when I worked in mail order retail.
BOMs are designed around the manufacturing industry where you take component parts (which you could also sell as "spares") and create a new item and want to track sales of the new item.
Kit, or Bundle, Codes would be designed around the retail industry where you often create a bundle, possibly with a discount over the total of the prices of the individual items, but still need to track the individual items - no stock need, nor should, be transferred as the stock level (if appropriate - irrelevant for service items) for each item would be checked.
