I modified ours (a modification of EMASTAL) using Report Designer to show a running balance and found that the report only used the HEADER_NUMBER footer to display the total amount for each item (which only picks up the details from one of the lines). This I fixed by showing the Details section and hiding the HEADER_NUMBER footer section. It also means I could then properly flag outstanding items and show the outstanding amount.
As a bonus I also reduced the ACCOUNT_REF footer to the minimum possible to allow for more detail lines to avoid statements going over lots of pages with few items on each page.
