You should be able to enter the Asset reference instead of using the drop down box which requires us to scroll through many hundreds of items in order to select the correct item.
Also, the transaction history only gives the reference of the asset and should also give the name of it as the description "Disposal of fixed asset" is insufficient for our Auditors, especially with higher value items.
It would also help if there was an option to select a reason for the disposal, ie Missing, Damaged, Sold etc
