When you have to re-submit a CIS Return to HMRC because of an amendment, the wording in Sage is currently very confusing and off-putting. Firstly when you click on a period that has already been submitted to amend it, you get a orange triangle warning message saying "This return is overdue!" even if it's been submitted on time and you now want to make a correction. If it is overdue, fair enough but it it has already been submitted? can it instead say something like "This return has already been submitted, do you wish to amend it?"
Secondly when you do submit an amended return, it over-writes the original one in the Archive, rather than keeping the original and also storing the amended version. Can both please be made available, with appropriate wording, and the date of submission would be useful too.
