I have tried to add some floating assets to the chart of accounts this morning. I ended up with some of the accounts that were already set up being deleted as I tried to add in some. Apparently you can only have a maximum of 10 floating assets, not sure why you can't have more. I tried using the 'Help' within Sage to find out what was happening but there is absolutely nothing on there about floating assets. Does anyone else use floating assets and how have you got around using more than 10 if you do? After phone Sage it seems that the only way around this is to just put the asset ( a cash float) in the current assets and then it will show a positive or negative figure on the balance sheet. Not ideal. Would be easier if Sage could just leave the floating assets with unlimited fields or is there a reason that this can't be done?
