Should make it clear if simply editing eg changing/ correcting an error eg from £24.21 to £24.12. Edit & Cancel are NOT the same thing. If the edit is to CANCEL a transaction, it should allow us to enter a narrative/ reason why the transaction has been cancelled..
Also loses trail of who did original entry and changes to the editor, unless you look back at original entry.
When you "edit" the transaction then the original is cancelled and the edit posted in its place (except that with the data Sage copies the original transaction as a new transaction, notes it as Cancelled and puts the edited transaction back in the original transaction.)
A deleted transaction is one which is cancelled and has no replacement transaction.
