Batch changes is a very powerful tool within sage accounts. Currently the feature is accessible to all users to be able to make mass changes to all aspects of data in a given module whether accidentally or deliberatley.

This has a huge potential impact on businesss and therefore to protect the integrity of data, safeguards should be made to limit or restrict this feature.

My reccomendations for this feature are:

• Restrict the use of this feature through access rights
• Limit use of batch changes to a similar process as maintenance (no other users logged in)
• Limit use to Manager only
• add an audit / history feature to show recent or previous batch changes in a given module
• add a feature to restore / revert data to prior to the last batch change encase of error.
